I’m with you! I will be going tomorrow and really trying to evaluate the candidates before I cast a vote. As of now, I’m leaning Gingrinch because I think he’s the only one with bold enough ideas to challenge Obama and win.
Santorum is very earnest but I don’t feel like he’s quite ready for prime time and I don’t like the way that he went after Newt instead of Obama in the debates - I can’t quite shake the feeling that he’s really auditioning for VP for Romney.
I think that Romney has dangled the VP carrot out to Rick as well as to Rand Paul in order to keep Santorum and Ron Paul in the race to divert votes away from Gingrinch. If it were between the two of them, I believe that Newt would easily get the nomination and Romney knows it. It feels sneaky and is just one of the many things about Mittens that I don’t like!
What I’d love to see is a two-man race between Santorum and Gingrich. Then we’ll see who’s ready for prime-time, who can win over the voters enough for a victory, and so on. My mind has changed several times this primary season and may change yet again.
But the only way to have that contest is to stop Romney now. I’m not a big strategist but the media and GOPe are pushing the narrative that Romney has the wind at his back, big mo, whatever. And every race he wins, big or small, is going to help them with that game.
Vote Rick in Washington and stop Romney.
Please vote for Newt. We must get him enough delegates to keep him in the game until Texas.

Nothing like waiting until the last minute.
I agree with you. I’ve been a Newt supporter for some time and plan to caucus for him today, unless someone can convince me to go with Rick (it will take quite a bit of convincing).
