Maybe you're confusing him with Chuck Norris, who did endorse Gingrich?
Besides that, the main difference between the two is that, while Ted can put a flaming arrow through a man's heart from 50 yards, Chuck can make a man's heart flee his chest in terror by merely thinking about plunging his fist into it.

Nothing surprises me anymore. This isn’t a fight for guys like TN or those with that kind of name recognition and security. This is OUR fight.

That’s wonderful but how is it going to get 0bama the F out of the WH.....Isn’t that our main goal????????????????

OK Mr. Insult of the Evening and uncalled for.....so whats your solution........
First, you need to get some thicker skin.
With respect to this problem, the last thing you do, if you are truly a conservative, is signal that you would be accepting of the nomination of a Progressive Liberal like Mitt Romney. This is the one reason I don't believe you are truly a conservative.
If Romney is the Nominee, you either vote for an actual conservative third-party candidate or write-in a conservative name.
If Romney is the Nominee, you fight like hell to make sure the Senate and House are under GOP CONSERVATIVE control so that Grid-lock is ensured no matter the flavor ("D" or "R") of Progressive liberal who wins the election.
If we, as conservatives, keep falling into line when the GOP-E manipulates the Primary process (Open-Primaries), the Media (primarily the conservative media), and falsely trashing the only conservatives in the race with millions of dollars of advertising, there will never be any changes and the GOP will continue trending leftward until it exists no more.
You don't cure bad behavior by accomodating it. You cure it by confronting it and refusing to tolerate it.

You know, I don't know if I can get enthusiastic about MittYou have summed up the problem with this election, my FRiend.
There is no GOP candidate that anybody is in love with or is excited about. That is not a recipe for victory.
Think back on every election of your lifetime. I think it is safe to say that the candidate with the most devoted base wins. There just aren't enough independents to rely on to swing an election. I can't remember the last time that a candidate that nobody likes beat a sitting president.
I think Romney will be a very weak candidate in the general because his base doesn't like him. And Newt and Santorum won't do well with independents.
I'm in the convenient position of not having to vote for POTUS - I live in CA, so my vote here won't count. Thank God, because I really can't stomach voting for Mitt Romney. Were in in a swing state, I suppose I would have to at least consider it, but I would hate it.
I will say that Romney as president presents many potential dangers. Govt. grew more under Bush 2 than under Clinton. I can't picture Romeny doing anything transformational.
On the other hand, I may be willing to take my chances with a guarantee that we will primary President Romney in 2016, and get rid of him that way. There will be some pretty good candidates available then.

No, our main goal, as conservatives, is to make sure a Progressive Liberal, whether it be Obama, or Mitt Romney, does not become President.
To: SoConPubbie
It maybe post his tenure, ( Obamaney ) but other things happened as well. They have their own Death Tax Divorced from current Federal Law that is for estates above 1 million. Also the Mitster's Full Page add in the WSJ against the Flat Tax when Steve Forbes was championing that Idea.
He is Obama light at best, I cannot pull the lever for him...

Neither can I, and after his character assasination of Newt with regards to the Fake Ethics investication of the House, I will go a step further and say if Mitt Romney is the nominee, I'll do my best to make sure he loses the election. I will determine who the most conservative third-party nominee is and convert as many people in my circle of influence to voting for that candidate.
I'll wage figurative war against Romney.

Obama is not the main problem.
The main problem is compromised "conservatives."
And this thread is another display of that fact.

My plan as well. If Mittens gets the nod, I’m writing in Palin. Might as well give them fair warning what’s coming.
To: SoConPubbie
I agree....I would love the Senate as GOP Conservative as Rush had discussed today...I was upset last election that it didn’t happen.....Even if it did happen would 0bama all of a sudden become a Bill Clinton????...I don’t see it......I’m a Palin chic and a Reagan lover...I’m devestated what’s happened to our country.....

My guess is she gets 500,000 to 1,000,000 write ins and at some point she comes out to discourage it.
After all I hear they lurk here...
If she tries to stop it, it might make her vote even bigger....

“Defeatism, demoralization and surrender.”
No, it’s actually recognition of harsh reality. The country is simply not going to turn hard right all of a sudden. I wish it would, but it’s not gonna happen. We are in extremis and must stop the Leftists from advancing further, which will be no small feat, and then start winning political battles one by one. It’s going to be a long slog.
