With Romney somehow in the lead and presumably heading towards becoming the GOP Nominee, how do you intend to vote in November?

The focus right now should be getting a real conservative as our nominee Agreed. But this applies only for the primaries (that is, selecting "our nominee").
I won't compromise my values
If Romney turns out to be the Republican Party candidate, in the general election you will compromise your conservative values -- either by voting for a non-conservative Republican (a RINO, if you must), or by effectively voting to re-elect a socialist. You might think we conservatives lose either way, but you'll need to determine for yourself what you think is your better -- not "ideal" -- decision for America ... an America that has a real chance of being damaged severely if Obama remains in office for another four years.

It’s a good point, I agree, but the difference is that even a social liberal like Romney is far more likely to work within the constraints of the Constitution than has the current socialist who is dedicated to destroying it (and will undoubtedly continue to do).

>>>Then you must be OK with another 4 years of Obama. You are literally guaranteeing it.<<
No, YOU, the RINO establishment and any “conservatives” who will not make it crystal clear that they will NEVER vote for Bishop Mitt are guaranteeing 4 more years of Obama.
If Conservatives would unite and make it clear that we won’t support Mitt, not matter what, the RINOs would be foreced to back off and vote for a more acceptable candidtate in the primaries.

Thanks for the renewed perspective, my friend.

Either the AIP or some other CONSERVATIVE candidate.
My family and myself don’t vote for Progressive LIberals, even if they have an R next to their name and the Democrat is slightly worse.
Furthermore, my family and I don’t vote for serial liars; they can’t be trusted.

In fact, it can be argued that Romney will be WORSE than Obama, because he will pursue liberal policies under the guise of being a Republican, and the GOP Congress probably wont be able to hold him in check. It's not just an argument, it's a likelihood. And that scenario also gives a tacit stamp of approval to the GOP-e, who will run rampant over our liberty and our rights with their desire to entrench their political machine organization even further into our lives than it has been shown to be in this primary. FOXNEWS has also been complicit in this effort.
If either Romney or Santorum is elected POTUS with GOP-e control of both houses, we are in for as much trouble fighting off big government as we were in the first two years of Obozo and DEM control of both houses. And the effort is more likely to be futile. Conservative political philosophy will have lost not just another battle, but the entire war at that point.

I just don't know. When you look at his creation (Romneycare), the blueprint for Obamacare, I'm inclined to believe his interpretation of the Constitution is far different than mine.

Ill vote for the GOP nominee. Writing-in someones name, voting for an independent, conveniently staying home - all are exercises in stupidity and all guarantee the continuance of Obama in office.
No, the real act of stupidity is allowing yourself to be manipulated into voting for a PRogressive Liberal.
Furthmore, it's an act of stupidity and cowardice if you vote for the candidate that the GOP-E puts forward knowing that:
1. They've manipulated the Press and the Primaries to get him nominated.
2. The candidate is a Progressive Liberal
3. He's spent his time lying about his record and the other candidates.
4. By voting for him, you are signaling to the GOP-E that they can keep on doing the same crappy, evil things and you'll fall for it each and every time.
To: Pietro
Any other action, and I can't stress this enough, is
TRAITOROUS
No, what's traitorous are the cowards that continue to enable the GOP-E to put up candidates like Mitt Romney that don't represent the base using tactics like Open Primaries, manipulation of the press, and millions in campaign adds used for character assasination.
To: Pietro; napscoordinator
Congrats to you and the other sanctimonious sh!theads that would allow for the distruction of our republic to make a point!
It's because of cowards such as yourself that we find ourselves facing the possible ugly choice of voting for:
1. A Progressive Liberal Communist with a "D" next to his name.
2. A Progressive Liberal with a "R" next to his name
If you would join with actual conservatives and stand firm and say no Romney, no Way, maybe, just maybe the GOP-E would get the message.
When the thought police come to shut down FreeRepublic I hope you're around to take credit, and be sure to say "don't blame me".
Well maybe you should do all you can right now to make sure Romney isn't the nominee, that way, we won't have to listen to your sanctominous garbage.
To: elpadre
As I have said from the beginning, I will vote for whomever becomes the nominee and will look with disgust upon any conservative who fails to do the same, for they will be supporting the doomsday candidate - Obama.
And those of us who held true to our conservative principles and did not vote for either Progressive Liberal will hold you in the contempt you deserve for stating you were a conservative and then compromising this country to a Progressive Liberal.
Voting for either compromises your values because the end result will be the same as Romney's own Progressive Liberal record (RomneyCare is just one example) has shown. It may take longer, but the end result will be just the same.
To: SoConPubbie
What I can't continance is someone that is so stiff necked they would stand by when the republic itself is threatened on an existential level
I am working against Romney, I don't like Romney; but Romney will not destroy this nation- Obama will!!
If you're too blindingly stupid too recognise the difference; leave me alone.

Anything other than choice 1 (hold your nose & vote for Romney) is a vote for Obama. And anyone who doesn’t believe that is, to my mind, a fool!
To: Rational Thought
I'm inclined to believe [Romney's] interpretation of the Constitution is far different than mine I concur ... and it's going to take strong leadership, especially in the House, to keep Romney "honest". Not a certainty for sure (given the effectiveness of the leadership we've seen thus far), but far easier than dealing with an committed socialist who has vowed (and who has been surprisingly effective) in "fundamentally transforming America".
