I don’t want my opinion that he wasn’t all that well known to be taken as speaking ill of the dead. It’s just that this isn’t an in memoriam thread but is instead a “was he assassinated” thread.

I don’t think he was, if the word “assassinated” mean “high level hit”. Could he have been murdered? I suppose some independent acting nut could have killed him.

Did I read someplace, though, that he did have heart issues in the past?

I did not at all conclude from your post that you were "speaking ill of the dead", and I don't really understand why anyone would unfairly conclude that, but people are upset.

I have read various posts here that have indicated that Breitbart had heart problems, and that at least one of his friends had expressed concerns. I think you're absolutely correct that if it was murder, it could have simply been some nut.

One thing that I do know is that if he was the kind of man that he appeared to be, the last thing that he would want would be for FReepers to turn on each other because of his untimely death.
