in the 35 - 44 year old age group, there is a
6.7 out of 10,000 incidence of heart attack requiring hospitalization. IOW, out of 10,000 Americans in the 35-44 year old age bracket, 6.7 of them will have a heart attack that requires hospitalization. that means there is a .067% chance of having a heart attack if you are between 35-44 years of age as Breitbart was. Those 6.7/10,000 individuals would primarily include the morbidly obese, smokers, diabetics, irregular heart rhythms, and those with other predisposing genetic factors that could lead to atherosclerosis in the coronary arteries. Did Breitbart smoke? was he morbidly obese? did he have diabetes, or any other predisposing factors? If not, it's pretty unlikely that he experienced an immediately fatal cardiac arrest.
From RC 1: there is a .067% chance of having a heart attack if you are between 35-44
Interesting Statistic, Long Odds, but better odds than winning the Lottery, and a higher percentage than the CO2 Content in the Atmosphere.
