We have our low lifes over here too.

I don't think there's any comparison. The left is vile.

True they are. But the point is: "THE GOLDEN RULE." Don't celebrate the death of your enemy if you don't want them doing the same.

You can take some moral high ground if you don't do the same thing under similar circumstances.

So, when Nancy passes...hold thy tongue and be gracious...unless you want to be like the same vile people over at the KOS.

They say that the conservatives including Breitbart didn’t give any respect to Ted Kennedy when he died. I don’t know about that but really what does it matter. They should take the high road and be respectful. I guess that is too difficult for them.”

Yes, we've got our low-lifes over here, too. I remember the Betty Ford thread all too well.

The difference is over here most Freepers called for respectful language and finally the moderators stepped in and set an appropriate tone by stopping the worst of it.

Over on the left wing fringe, respect for office and for duly constituted authority does not exist. It does not exist because the leftists don't believe in such things.

We do, and we need to act accordingly.

The worst of the leftists are socialists, communists, and anarchists, if not in their avowed theory, then in their actual practices. “Community organizing” is an innocuous term for Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals,” and those tactics are downright dangerous. Their practices have spread from the radicals to infect the moderately liberal element because they work — disrespect is a powerful toxin made all the more dangerous because it often feels good to “stick it to the man.” Even though those tactics work, we as conservatives need to avoid them because they have their own logic, and when consistently practiced, will lead us places we do not want to go.

I'm glad to hear that.

The way we treat those with whom we strongly disagree says a lot about our internal character. When the gloves come off and we're angry enough to fight back hard, observers find what comes out of our inner selves.

I have no idea what Breitbart did or didn't do with Sen. Kennedy's death. I do know that we shouldn't be piling on Sen. Kennedy, Breitbart, or almost anyone else.

Yes, I do know about Psalm 139:19-22: “Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.”

The key point is for that passage to apply, the person must be an enemy of God, not merely our own enemy. Such cases exist — the Kim family of North Korea, Joseph Stalin, and similar God-haters and church-persecutors come to mind — but they are few and far between.
