You are mis-applying the principles.

There are man's principles and there are God's principles. I simply put God's principles first - same as the majority of the Founders did.

I frankly resent you coming onto a political forum and being very condescending about those of us who are “wasting our time” talking about politics because if we don’t straighten up our spiritual and moral house then nothing matters.

I wasn't being condescending at all. That is simply how you decided to take a biblical solution to the problems we face.

The Founders were wise enough to let those biblical principles guide their political decisions that resulted in the liberties we have allowed to be abolished by the tyranny of men. You may not like that fact, but it is self-evident in much of their writings.

The fact is also that our God inspired Founding documents do not call for a theocracy.

It's becoming routine now, almost knee-jerk to automatically assert the warning of theocracy, the split second God or the bible are mentioned in any congruence with social or political life.

Sad when the Founders themselves considered them inseparable to the health of the society and the nation itself.

They call for liberty.

I share the belief with our forebears liberty itself is a gift from God, and that mankind has no ability to establish or maintain it, apart from God.

You can disagree with that all you like.

It was no more appropriate for you to say on this thread what you did than for someone to go on a thread about the 2 Chronicles passage and say “quit wasting your time in prayer and get up and go vote!”

I am aware that it is now impolite and improper to bring God or the bible into social or political discussions these days, but in my own opinion; good luck putting the cart before the horse.

I don't think it's going to save the nation or what is left of our liberties.
