Your post made me chuckle because all you have to do is change the names around and you get a replay of the Florida debacle for Newt.

Your implicit equivalence of Newt and Rick would make me chuckle, if there were not so much at stake.

Newt is far better qualified for the job. Santorum isn't even good at campaigning, much less on policy and command of the subject matter. He got himself mired in the weeds on social issues and kept on talking. He's like a dog you take hunting and he runs around barking and scaring off all the game. He can't comfortably (or perhaps even competently) address issues like opening American energy, so he defaults to platitudes about Faaamily ( ~ "for the chilllldren" ) like a pandering Dem. And then he draws all the wrong kinds of attention.

You have one problem. Newt cannot win the nomination. He may win GA, but in many races he polls behind Ron Paul.

Newt has a likability problem. People just don’t like him.
Apparently Santorum has been far better than Newt at campaigning.

Why? Because Santorum is doing better than Newt against Romney. Newt has been skipping states all over the place and has marginalized himself.

When Newt goes into a church to campaign, why, to some of you, thats great....but when Santorum goes into a church...he is bad and Saint Rick. LOL

I know it is hard to make a case when Newt isn’t doing so well in these races. But eventually you have to realize that your are backing a lost cause.
