I was responding to another poster comparing Laura's car accident to Ted Kennedy's cowardly behavior when he let a young girl drown after being trapped for twenty minutes in his submerged car.
I didn't imply Laura had been drinking like Ted Kennedy had. The poster was trying to imply that the two situations were similar.
My mistake on the Gender of the teenager killed in the accident. I was relying on my faulty memory of the incident.
Thanks for the information.
After my earlier post I realized that maybe you didn't mean to imply that Laura had been drinking but were just making a contrast with Ted Kennedy. I don't know if anyone else has tried to say that about Laura--given the amount of slander and vitriol directed at members of the Bush family, I wouldn't be surprised.
There seems to be uncertainty about whether Laura and the boy who was killed had actually dated or not, but it seems that he was someone she knew and liked.
My mistake on the footnote number--it should be number 10.
