Other than amongst political junkies like Freepers, and people in states with primaries, I don't believe Santorum's views are widely known among voters as a whole.

Guilty as charged. He lost me with his statement about libertarian conservatives, how the government shouldn't leave people alone. If it came down to him or Romney, I'd write someone in, though I would vote for either of those two before Obama. Fortuantely, though, Newt is still in, and will be getting my vote on the 6th.
It depends what he meant by the comment. Did he mean a larger welfare state or simply opposing the libertarian insanity on drugs and legalized prostitution?
