I’m not sure the Baraqqis have that much control. Isn’t a lot of this about refinery capacity rather than crude supply?

Not at all. We have been upgrading and expanding our existing refineries for many years.

Combined with falling demand, and even running at about 83% capacity, we now produce more refined product than we use. This has resulted in us becoming a net exporter of refined products.

Although it has recently begun to decrease, we still import far too much oil to run through those refineries. We import more crude oil than we produce ourselves.
