As far as I took it, Apollo5600 was simply trying to humorously mock some of the overblown religious rhetoric the Santorum supporters are using. For example, we have that absolute hysterical idiot American Constitutionalist on another thread claiming that Santorum’s surge is God taking revenge on Newt supporters. Apollo5600 is absolutely right that half of the Santorum supporters ought to be zotted for making outrageous statements that sound like televangelist claptrap where they claim God has divinely spoken to them on which candidate they should be supporting. Those attempts to invoke the Lord’s name in order to win a political argument that they can’t win on the merits is what makes me want to throw up.

Can you back that statement up? There may be one or two, but half?? I doubt it's even 1%.

I think where you're getting confused is Gingrich supporters mocking Santorum as "St. Rick" and accusing him as being "holier than thou."
