Liberals see the military as the largest social program there is..

Military has been for most intense purposes as of late a jobs program and is moving away from it's intended purpose.

I have spoken with several enlisted troops and there are many, many people serving that don't give a rat's a** about gay's serving. More concerned about what they will get out of it via benefits down the road.

Not sure it can salvaged even with a change in administration at this point.

You can be sure. Leftist policies are never rolled back once enacted. It's like putting toothpaste back into a tube. Margaret Thatcher called it the "ratchet effect".
