What exactly are the guys who burned the Korans going to be charged with?

What about the Muslims who “desecrated” the Korans by writing in them? Will they be prosecuted as well?

They’ll be charged under the clean air act, for failing to gain the proper burn authorization, neglecting to file the proper environmental impact report, and disturbing the religious freedom of people bent on killing us.

The Koran burners need claim they thought they were burning Christian Bibles. And thus they would be acquitted and praised by all Parties.
If Christianity was the religion of hate and violence that Islam is, it would not get so routinely spat upon abroad and at home.

This story sounds kinda fishy to me. Everyone is briefed when they get in-country about customs and courtesies of the host country. The bases would have shredders used for classified materials. These shredders will mangle anything placed in them so you would not be able to tell what it was. If prisoners were using korans to send messages that would be a simple fix just to shred them. You could then burn the sawdust basically.
Even the unclassified shredders do a pretty good job of mangling paper.
