Oh there would be a stream of panicked hershey squirt on the ground clear from Detroit all the way up to the Eisenhower Building on Capitol Hill to their tony, posh country club dining rooms.
Why, The NERVE! of the Republican rank and file in Michigan deciding the 2021 GOP nominee would be somebody other than the annointed we have had on tap for three years all set and good to go!!! / sarc

And then, alluvthasudden it would be best for the party to have a brokered convention. The small stories of speculation would turn into something that has to be done for the good of the party. Repeat after me: a brokered convention for the good of the party!
