Newt Gingrich rails against Obama at California GOP convention

BURLINGAME, Calif.-With his competition focused on the chilly Midwest, Newt Gingrich wooed California’s Republican faithful Saturday, banking on a Republican contest so chaotic that the most populous state in the country could actually matter when voters go to the polls in June.

"You cannot follow the recent Republican practice of writing off our largest state and imagine that you are going to run an American campaign," the former House speaker told delegates to the state party convention, meeting outside of San Francisco. "There will not be any lockdown before we get to California.... I want you to know as the nominee I will campaign consistently in California."

That was as close as Gingrich came to acknowledging Republican front-runners Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum during a withering 48-minute luncheon speech in a packed hotel ballroom. Instead, he trained his sights on President Barack Obama, who he said is "fundamentally dishonest" and "lives in a fantasy world."

The entire video is only 48 minutes and 19 seconds. Do you mean 47 minutes and 19 seconds? That’s where he talks about $2.50 a gallon gas.

I’ve seen every one of Newt’s speeches. They just keep getting better and better. I could listen to him all day. He not only has solid substance, he is very entertaining. There is something very special about him that our enemies in Washington DC, the Media and the Liberals are scared to death of. If he manages to be our next president, people won’t believe the chance there will be in our contry!

The media, fox included rarely mention his name anymore when talking about the GOP race. It’s like someone told them not to play any of his speeches or talk about him. They are scared to death of his knowledge. He had Hume quaking in his boots so I guess FOX doesn’t talk about him because of those types on staff.

Yes, it’s very clear the word has gone out throughout the RINO Mittstream media to ignore Newt and set up the meme that’s a two-person race between Mitt and Rick. The Mitt people are confident Rick is a paper tiger who can be defeated easily by going back to the old electability/inevitability argument they were using for Mitt all last year. Since has Newt has pivoted and learned from his missteps in Florida, they know he’s on message, on point and poised for a comeback. The only thing they can do is shut him out of all media coverage to stop it from happening.

I am hoping that Newt will inspire the milquetoast CA GOP that I have had the misfortune of being a part of.

California is the land of opportunity, but is being choked to death by a rampant Dimocrat party and an utterly useless, meek RINO party.

Pray for us.

It is so frustrating to witness the herd mentality orchestrated by the lamestream media and the GOP E! It is very sad to witness people so easily manipulated to do what the media wants!
Those who have the insight into the problems and solutions, and the wisdom to choose the best candidate to bring us back to the right path are always out-numbered by the media-induced herds.... and the same old corrupt politicians get voted in again and again.

America deserves what the herd mentality gets them - 4 more years of usurper tyrant dictator domestic terrorist obozo?

I’ve esaid it before, I’ll say it again: I’m absolutely convinced that Newt Gingrich is the junkyard dog we need to rip Obama a new one and send him slinking back to his Chicago digs with his tail between his legs.

Newt has plenty of DC experience as Speaker, executive ability from his many enterprises, and a silver tongue that’s razor sharp!

He’s fast on his feet, delivers it straight up with no hemming and hawing, and is often witty. His work with American Solutions was very impressive and as we’ve seen recently, Newt is able to put into words what the vast majority of Americans really believe. His fevered brain also has plenty of ideas for making government work better for taxpayers.

Is Newt pure as new driven snow? No - no presidential candidate is in line for sainthood. Whatever Newt’s “baggage”, it pales next to Obama’s habitual lying and outright corruption - and unlike Obama, Newt is 100% American! Newt is like Larry the Cable Guy: send him to DC and he’ll “Get ‘er done” for all of us. Newt has “Been there, done that!

Junkyard dogs are not show dogs, but they’ll save your bacon! I am damn mad at what Obama and his bootlickers have stolen from us - you should be too - and I want someone to represent me.

Newt Gingrich is that man! Sic ‘em, Newt!
