If you ever get the chance, the smaller islands of the Bahamas are heaven.
I'm former USMC and got "stuck" doing a 5 month cruise on a Navy LST back in the late 60s.
Swore I would never do any cruise again, nor re-visit the Carib. So far so good.
I was married at that time too, and my wife still insists I owe her. Nassau is her choice ... we'll see.

Look at the smaller islands instead, Nassau actually sucks imo.
We have stayed on several of the smaller islands, Green Turtle Cay was my fave. 3 mile island, everyone knows everyone, no locks on the doors, get around via golf cart.
We have actually looked at buying property there.
