"Scruff Face"?
Them's fighting words to Jesse "The Body" Ventura, Minnesota's controversial former governor and TV provocateur.
Ventura, whose real name is James Janos, recently filed a defamation lawsuit against Navy SEAL Chris Kyle over the portrayal of a bar fight Kyle claims they had six years ago in Coronado, Calif. Kyle wrote about the alleged incident in his recent memoir "American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History."
Under the headline, "Punching Out Scruff Face," Kyle describes a confrontation with a "celebrity" who served in the military during the Vietnam War and who "most people seem to believe was a SEAL." He said Scruff Face winters in Baja California, opposed the war in Iraq and described the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks as a "conspiracy."
Though he didn't name Ventura, Kyle has since acknowledged that Scruff Face is Ventura.
In his lawsuit filed in Hennepin County District Court, Ventura denies any such fight took place and alleges that Kyle defamed him in an effort to promote his book. He's seeking unspecified monetary damages, including any profits from the book's sales.

Jesse is "Ex-Governor"....
He doesn’t have time to bleed, but he sure has time to sue.
Kyle shoulda called scruff face by his real name... Sh@t Head.
just when you think he can’t sink any further
Ventura is nuts.
They were in the same bar, and a SEAL had been recently killed in action. For that reason, some SEALs were hosting the greiving, surviving parents of that SEAL.
Ventura was also in the bar at that time. He was speaking out forcefully against the war —that the war didn’t serve US interests really. He went on like that, loudly, for some time. He also launched into stuff like, “It’s OK if some SEALs get zapped from time to time —they deserve it...”
This was all within earshot of the surviving parents, ok?
So this SEAL from that group comes over to Ventura’s table and explains the situation —”Could you tone it down a little, in volume, cuz we have the parents here, and all....”
But Ventura just keeept it up, enjoying the leverage.
And so that guy just belted him one, laying him out flat, and ran out of the bar.
Yeah, nothing more than a real bad comic book character, anymore...
Wait just a minute, Mr. “The Body”...I thought you were moving to Mexico. So why do you give a crap about what a gringo says?
That’s ALL he ever was!
Probably not getting real big residuals from wrestling re-runs! Kind of guy that will sink low enough to find a lawyer to look up to and take his case.
Well, he did. His “official” residence is Baja.
Anyone hear of statements from the other Seals or the grieving parents?
couldnt have said it better
He's Ron Paul on 'roids.
Run out the bar? Why?
Gosh, Jesse, even came up with a “conspiracy”.
“In his lawsuit, Ventura raises the specter of a conspiracy. News Corp. owns both HarperCollins and Fox News. He notes that the book’s publisher, William Morrow, is an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, and that Kyle was interviewed about the alleged incident in January on the Fox News Channel program “The O’Reilly Factor.”
If true, what an unbelievable dick. Wow. Those guys should have taken him apart.
Cops were either just outside or on the way. He didn’t want to be arrested. I heard him tell the story.
