This fine young man wasn’t killed in Battle, he was murdered in Cold Blood.
“Killed” is just another vague PC term.
We need to get out of there. We need to suspend all financial assistance to ALL ISLAMIC countries. We need to put all American corporate entities dealing with these countries on notice letting them know they are dealing in an environment that is too hostile at this time and America’s treasure will not be spent in the pursuit of their own gain. We need to read these countires the riot act and say, “Unless you police your own, obliterate the terrorist cells, the Wahabi schools, etc. we have to assume you support them. If you support them then you are our enemy, too.” Then we need to re-tool, wait for another act of aggression (sorry to say, on American soil) and then go ALL IN and begin dealing with these Islamic nations the way they should have always been dealt with.
Finally, we need to put all those Islamic-Americans residing in our own country who have been all too willing to remain silent, “How come? How come you have not come out and lectured your own people about their barbarism, about their extreme indifference to the suffereings of THEIR OWN PEOPLE that THEY have brought upon the Islamic world? How come you have not marched in America’s streets demanding that Pakistan hand over all Talibanistas/all terrorists? How come you have not marched on Washington to demand President Obama stop placating Islamic nations with a wink and a nod approach to diplomacy?” Does this particular brand of silence suggest anything to non-Islamic-Americans about, the possibility that our fellow countrymen might be in support of the “radical” form of Islamic extremism practiced by our enemies (would that not mean these “citizens” are also our enemeies?) World-wide, the silence of those Islamists opposed to these “terrorists” is deafening. One could almost be lead to believe their unwillingness to stand up to their own “brothers and sisters in Islam” is the final approval that leads to the barbarism we’ve been witnessing the past few decades.
Alas, none of this will ever occur. We will continue to “reach out” with the doctrine of precious liberty we believe all people thirst for (Do they really? Doesn’t the Islamist really want to remove your liberty [or your head—take your pick] from you? Does the socialist really thirst for liberty? Or does he thirst for the control/suppression of the liberty of others?) We will continue to play this fool’s game, continue to sacrifice young, precious lives until we have the moral strength to recognize an enemy when we see it, shout, “fanatic” when it is on display, and apply fitting appellations (religion of death, not the religion of peace) when appropriate.
