Personally I believe Rick Santorum would be proud as peaches to be Myth’s VP, and likely prays for it, if he can muster enough delegates to even fall into consideration, which maybe all he is working toward, knowing full well that Romney will have the millions to contend in a general.
Romney NEEDS Santorum to have an enthusiastic conservative prayer for their support.
The VP is ALWAYS based on need, not comraderie, chummyness, or even like mindedness, be it region needed, issue needed, or coalition, or ideology.
Newt must perform in the South for traction and will need to pivot for the North, finding a blue collar winner for the NE. Maybe Ryan, the numbers man. Heck, maybe Romney the Socialist numbers man. Who can possibly know?
Or maybe Jeb Bush will come in soon and FIX everything on earth. /s /s /s
The Myth/Rick ticket was being rumoured by GOP E insiders in PA recently. I haven’t heard if that possible strategy is still on the table or not. It would be a shame if Rick betrayed his supporters like that. Surely he knows that he gets the majority of his support from Not Romney voters.
As nominee Romney would need the religious voters that are driving Santorum’s campaign. But why pick pushover Rick for VP when you could have someone who is at least good at politics like...The Reverend Huckabee!! I’ve been calling it for years now. West, Rubio, Gingrich, Rand Paul,Ryan, DeMint all nice for the tea party types but no one helps with the holy-rollers like the populist preacher from Arkansas, who although he believes Mormon are all going to hell would be happy to be the VP to Mitt.
