True to a primary season already marked by sudden and surprising ups and downs, Mitt Romney has jumped back into the lead in Michigans Republican Primary race. The votes on Tuesday.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Republican Primary Voters in Michigan shows Romney with 40% of the vote and former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum with 34%. The poll was conducted on Thursday night, following the last scheduled debate among the GOP candidates. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Adelson makes new ‘sizable’ contribution to pro-Gingrich super PAC
OKAY!!
I checked the questions, and I can confirm that I was one of the 750 polled last night. I chose Santorum.
My preferences at this point are:
1. No to Obama
2. No to Romney
3. Yes to Santorum
4. Yes to Gingrich
5. Yes to SOC - “some other candidate”
I’m not likely to change my mind about 1. and 2. (Although I will vote for Romney with less enthusiasm than I voted for McCain.) But I could change my mind concerning 3. 4. and 5.
NEWT ON NOW!!
Talking about his plans for releasing our energy
resources.

I work near a large military training site that trains on a rotating basis over 50,000 troops a year. I see a lot of military, and know the assigned staff well. The Commander told me recently that they can’t even have a decent argument over at their headquarters anymore because they are all supporting Newt!
My grandson says if Newt is elected he will take the offer he has from the Navy. He has thus far turned down offers from them and the Air Force because he does not want to serve under Obama. He is currently studying to be a nuclear engineer. His dad was a Navy man and still works as a nuclear electrician.
My new son-in-law, also a Navy man is an enthusiastic Newt supporter, as well.
Thank you for being one of America’s finest!
God bless and keep you.
Your words are keeper’s.
GO NEWT!
YES! Wonderful news!
GO NEWT!!
That was an excellent video.
1. No to Obama
2. No to Romney

5. Yes to SOC - some other candidate

I can't vote for Romney under any circumstances. He is a pandering fraud and an embarrassment to the Republican party. I can't stand the site of him.
What befuddles me is the establishment that thinks they can sell this trash in November. I mean the guy gives a major address in Ford Stadium (been hearing about it for a couple weeks now) and he draws all of 1200 people. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! You rent out a stadium that holds 65k and your draw is 1200? And then you top it off with a lack luster performance and a gift to Obama about your wife's Cadillacs. I mean what a moron!!
So I get that many will feel compelled to vote for this trash, but I can't. We need a leader not a loser.
Newt has said that was a big mistake. He's admitted other mistakes he's made and that's what integrity is about...self-honesty. To me that is a man who has a conscience and learns. At least him and even Santorum will admit when they are wrong. Romney parses his excuses for Romneycare and other positions. He is the typical politician who will say anything, anytime, to anyone, to further his political ambitions. Like clinton and bambi, he has few core beliefs.
The HUGE difference between Newt and bambi is that bambi will always blame others due to his narcissistic tendencies. Newt doesn't. He has taken responsibility for his past. That is a man of honor. He doesn't make excuses nor blame others for his failings.
Unfortunately, in this age of "cult of personality", I believe Newt nor Santorum will get the nomination. Romney will be the GOP nominee simply because he "looks" good and talks the talk, which the current American Idol populace believe. It will then be up to Congress to keep Mittens in check if he wins the presidency. Another fight for another day...
Michiganders are too gullible
lol, that was funny.....and I agree with your analysis.
I don’t think Romney will beat Obama, he agrees with him on most things and I think voters will choose an authentic marxist over one that wears a mask.
The fact that you actually ARE dissing morality somehow escapes you, Brand Newbie?
Exactly. Why do people not know enough about the candidates to understand the blatant lies and attacks of the Romney/Paul alliance?
NO one who supports either Newt or Rick should stop supporting them just because of the Romney/Paul negative attack ads.
It's shameful, IMO.
Bumping that.
Saint o’ Rum or Centrum, or whatever his name is, needs to adopt the Gingrich noisy and in your face strategy so as to offset the whiney, needy, dependent aspects of Romney’s negative lame ads.
You call a 7 year FReeper a "newbie," Mariner??
Sheesh!!
Is it? If it is, that changes everything. If the Rats can turn the election, it's no wonder that Mitt has overtaken Santorum.
They always pick the leftie.
