Meh..I might be the only one here with thyis thought, but I'd rather see us create a zillion drones for the same money and when a conflict begins send in 20,000 drones at a time to take out command and control....No way any country could stop that many and it's a lot cheaper......hell, then you can use 50 years old BFFs to bomb the daylights out....
That's just me though.
Without satellite guidance the drones are worthless. Planes piloted by humans can function when C3I is gone.
