We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare,...

I don't have a problem with the feds funding fusion as a source of energy. Expensive energy hamstrings any modern economy, i.e. harms the general welfare unless you live like the Unabomber.
