LOL. mkjess and I have gone at it before, but on this we’re in agreement.
Palin was called to do great things. She started out pitch perfect in her acceptance speech. BUT She fumbled the opportunity to build on 2008. That in itself is human. Respectable. No problem with it.
If she had stayed with that, or gone forward, then she’d deserve respect.
She picked a tangent and took a lot of people with her (like you?) out of the real fight.
The subsequent circus bus show taunt was pathetic. Imagine Reagan going on a Wild West hollywood road show or something after 1964 instead of backing up and running for governer in California.
That hard work up to and including the 1976 convention and beyond is why Reagan deserves reverence, and Palin does not.
Thank you for your reasoned and respectful reply.
I am not a Sarah fan and I didn’t want her to run for President. I also have nothing against her.
I am working for the conservative cause. I haven’t done nearly as much for that cause as Sarah Palin has done and I also haven’t paid nearly so dear a price as she. I would never criticize someone else for something I couldn’t begin to comprehend.
If I had the media invade my hometown and do everything they could to attack me, my husband and my children, I do not think I could have handled it as well as Sarah.
How do you think you would have handled it? That was my point.
