Russ Tamblyn is one of those guys who has had an active, successful Hollywood career but seems to fly mostly just under the radar. His biggest role in movies was probably as the leader of the Jets gang in 'West Side Story' in 1961, but he's been in a bunch of other movies, too.

Tamblyn also had a nice role as Dr. Jacoby in the David Lynch TV show, 'Twin Peaks' in the early '90s. He has worked with musician Neil Young for many years and he was even in the movie 'Drive' just last year. He's 78 and still working. I guess that's not too surprising seeing the kind of athlete he is.

By the way, Tamblyn's brother Larry played keyboards in a pretty popular '60s band called 'The Standells' ('Dirty water').

FRegards,
LH

I noticed your posts on Russ Tamblyn and was trying to make the connection. Thanks for clearing that up!

Thank you, Lancey Howard, for the education about the very talented (and apparently highly underrated) Russ Tamblyn! I do think I remember seeing him in "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers", "West Side Story" and "Twin Peaks".

My condolences to Russ Tamblyn, as he is about to gain this loser David Cross as a son-in-law. What the heck is wrong with his lovely daughter Amber??
