Exactly. They aren’t too subtle in wanting the Newt blessing, are they? They want to keep their candidate safe - so if Newt has it, he’ll protect their little guy as the media would attack Newt before the non threatening Rick.

RE: #1 Issue at Rick’s website, “War on Pornography”????

Where does it say on his website that it is his #1 issue?

All he’s saying is he will ENFORCE Current federal “obscenity” laws prohibit distribution of hardcore (obscene) pornography on the Internet, on cable/satellite TV, on hotel/motel TV, in retail shops and through the mail or by common carrier. Rick Santorum believes that federal obscenity laws should be vigorously enforced. “If elected President, I will appoint an Attorney General who will do so.”

Not sure why this is a problem with you. If this is a problem, the first thing you ought to do is go to your Congressman and Senator to demand that these EXISTING LAWS be repealed.

#1 Issue at Rick’s website, “War on Pornography”????'

Really?! That's because he has a job and a home. He's out of touch with the #1 issue for Americans. I haven't been to his site - he sounds more Czar like, than presidential material. Wonder when he will declare war on liars.

They tell me he is petty, temperamental, stubborn as a jackass, and thinks he is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ

I believe it as I have seen shades of all of it - just in the debates. So thanks for the confirmation on it.

They have seen him have meltdowns when he doesn’t get his way.

It should be interesting when he finally gets vetted. But they are holding off until they see what happens to Newt - the REAL threat, the REAL conservative. In the meantime, he is the GOP E useful idiot while he's believing he's the best thing since sliced bread. He loves himself more than our country - just like mitt and barry.

RE: It is a long interview, over 40 minutes, so again, this part of the discussion occurs about 18 minutes in.

OK he TALKED about it. How many times has he brought it up since?

Only now because of what OBAMA FORCED Catholic Institutions to do. Had Obama not made this an issue Santorum would be talking about something else.

So nope, I don’t believe he is obsessing over it unlike Obama’s obsession with class warfare, which he repeats EVEN in a Prayer breakfast, forcing the Bible to say what he intends it to mean.

It is listed first under “Issues”. “War on Pornography”.

I just find it perplexing that with all the problems needing Solutions, Rick finds this enough of an overriding issue that he would list it first.

I am referring to this page:

http://www.ricksantorum.com/issues

It IS an issue listed on that page but it does NOT say:

That it is his FIRST, FOREMOST, MOST IMPORTANT, THE ONE HE WILL FOCUS HIS FIRST PRIORITIES ON, Issue.

There are two possibilities: Christian doctrine regarding the existence of Satan is either true or not true.

There’s no in between. No warm and fuzzy gray area where you can pretend it doesn’t matter while finding refuge in the things of this world.

Either you believe the truths of the Bible or you don’t. It’s your choice.

Hard to find what Mitt believes. He has clammed up, because —well, how does one explain a faith that is unknown to 90% of the audience.?

So, because he is not on record, his religious beliefs are really unknown.Yet because he holds a position in the Church, we must assume he is orthodox. The Dims will not let this rest.

Pornography is a bit like drugs. Back in the early ‘60s, it was a minor issue, in large part because of the mores of the times, but mainly because it was limited to stag movies and printed material. Now it is at the fingers tips of anyone who wants to invest the time. As abundant as drugs. How do you control it without censorship?

Let me add a few more facts that have largely been overlooked, but will not be ignored in the general, if we end up with Santorum.

In 1996, Santorum’s wife Karen and he ended her six months pregnancy due to an infection that threatened her life. This was, technically, an abortion This condition was diagnosed by prenatal testing.

I don’t have a problem with the painful decision that they made, but I do have a problem with the position that Santorum has taken, that he would deny insurance coverage for prenatal testing from being covered by insurance companies. I think it is hypocritcal that he would deny others coverage for the same testing that saved his wife’s life. We know Rick didn’t pay for this out of pocket.

Rick also had some problems that have not been vetted yet that resulted in his huge loss in the PA. Senate race. One thing that will be hammered is that he refused to repay almost $100,000 in tuition fees to the state of PA, that he was not entitled to, since his family was living in VA. and being home schooled.

After his Senate loss, he made millions as a lobbysist in Washington. Prior to politics, his career was spent as a lawyer for Pro Wrestling. Now ther’s an organization we can all look to for high moral character and ethics.

Sheesh! Thank you for your post, and happy vetting!

GO NEWT!!

The best way to find out what Romney believes is to ask an ex-Mormon. There is a great book out by an ex Mormon Bishop’s daughter, named Tricia Erickson. The title of her book is, “Can Mitt Romney Serve Two Maters?” She gives a detailed account of the level of committment required to be a Bishop, which Romney is. She gives a detailed account as to why that person should not be President.

There is a lot of information avaiable about the Agenda of the Mormon Church to make the U.S. a Mormon Theocracy. They believe this is their mission and divine destiny. Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism, ran for President in 1844, but was killed in a shootout before the election.

After Romney referred to his father being born in Mexico, I found out that his grandfather Romney had fled there to avoid the authories. He had six wives.

There is a lot of informaton available. In general, I don’t care what faith others choose, since we all have free will. I do, however, believe that if a person’s religion teaches they are to rule as a Theocracy, it is relevant to whether or not we want that person to control one third of our federal goverment.

his career was spent as a lawyer for Pro Wrestling.

That one doesn't bother me. But then I don't claim to wear a halo. ;)

he would deny insurance coverage for prenatal testing from being covered by insurance companies.

I'm w/you - this one does and for the reason you stated. More hypocrisy.

One thing that will be hammered is that he refused to repay almost $100,000 in tuition fees to the state of PA, that he was not entitled to, since his family was living in VA. and being home schooled.

I've read about that but dismissed it only because I didn't understand it!! If living in VA and being home schooled - why would he owe anything to PA? I KNOW there is something to this but it's my lack of understanding it that's the problem. But I know mitt knows it but 'saving it' until the time is right. And Rick knows it, too. Campaigning and people taking their time and money to support him and he's playing them for fools. Just damn - what a POS!

he made millions as a lobbyist

Didn't know that. Mitt must be saving this until he is sure Newt is out of the race.

How could he lie about Newt regarding fines and ethics charges that were dismissed with this much baggage? And he's no dummy - but must think voters are - that mitt or ron never brought this up but WILL AFTER Newt is gone - so then his numbers drop and then it's Mitt's!!! I always knew it was about him/political favors and not about our country - but did NOT know the things you mentioned.

Every candidate, except Perry and Newt, have been buffers for Mitt. I watched the debates supporting NO candidate - but the way they went after Perry and not Mitt got my attention big time at what was going on because I just knew something was wrong as MB, Miss self proclaimed TP, was way too obvious about it as she never touched a hair of mitt's but scratched the eyes of Perry with lies.

And then add all those so called conservatives backing Mitt and the media - it's not rocket science to see we are being played with! They have been working on this full time for 3+ years - they have it tied down tight w/all their (d)ucks in a row. It's up to voters to pull their rug from them but some are too prideful to think anyone could pull the wool over their eyes. And we know pride comes before the fall.

Newt asked Santorum to step down to give him a chance at being honorable because he knows the deal but slick Rick is not honorable for he knows his own record better than anyone. And then goes and attacks Newt with lies!

All I can say is - voters are bringing our country down - we can't blame the slimy GOP E politicians who only care about themselves - voters are just bowing to evil. It's Newt or we are sunk! God bless America and it hurts because of those who gave THEIR LIVES to keep/protect us/our rights while voters are handing our country over to evil/our enemy.

Let me add a few more facts that have largely been overlooked

How right you are - largely overlooked and for some not known. THANK YOU!!

What’s so revolutionary about believing in Obama?....Beliefs belong in church.

Who/what obama stands for doesn't belong in church but it is a favorite hang out for the 'angel of light'. It's there where one finds out how to recognize the forces of evil.

Your passion is well directed. As one whose son gave his life for this country, it grieves my heart to think we could allow a great leader like Newt Gingrich to fall by the wayside.

Newt can look at any issue, disect it with the precision of a skilled surgeon and put it back together with a workable plan ,better than any one individual I have ever seen or heard.

I work near a military training facility and those who are assigned to that faacility have nothing but praise for Gingrich. Marguerite, who posts lots of great material on FR, gave me information on Newt who is an instructot for all branches of the service.

My son sould have been proud to serve with this man as Commander in Chief. My grandson says he would consider it an honor, also.

...church ... it is a favorite hang out for the 'angel of light'. It's there where one finds out how to recognize the forces of evil.

Moslems believe the same thing about their Mosques.

The question as to who is right ... is not debatable ... in either case.

The question as to who is right

There is NO question as there is only ONE Truth. Everything else is a counterfeit.
