A GOP representative was interviewed on Fox yesterday and is proposing eliminating the federal taxing power on gasoline. When that tax originated, to build interstate highways, etc., it was intended to end within a few years. Its purpose was fulfilled decades ago. Now the money is used for grass, highway beautification, and such — not its intended purpose. This rep is proposing turning over gas taxation to states alone and that should bring down the price.
The God-forsaken (and I mean that literally) dems in the House will never let that happen, but it’s sure a great idea.

That’s why the largest number of liberals must be driven out of Congress and the White House.

The tax was originally supposed to be for 15 years, but like everything else in government once enacted it never goes away. The Federal gas tax is 18.4 cents. Even if it is repealed the states will just jack it up. We are in a lose lose situation.

They just wanted them after November 2012.
