There were rumors (nothing more than rumors) that there was a deal between Romney and Paul related to Romney picking his son as VP. This article almost makes that seem plausible.
The Five was all over Paul today about his running ads in States where he isn’t even competing against the other candidates except Romney- which pretty much helps Romney.
I had said that was quite possible a couple months ago. Now, I’m not so sure. Since he’s having so much trouble securing the nomination he’ll have to make the base happy IF he gets the nom.
I like a lot about Santorum, some about Rom, and even less for Newt, but my overarching goal is beating 0. I don’t think these guys can
We need a brokered convention. I’d take Palin, Christie, Daniels or Paul Ryan.
No Jeb!
Needs to update his tinfoil hat, the one he has is getting corroded.
Telling....actually not..Freepers already knew!
It makes me happy to see liberal-tarian Ron Paul teaming up with liberal Mitt Romney. They belong together...in the Democrat party.
Shows how much Paultard is in the boat for Romney.
All those who support Paul must be on drugs.
MB - what we are seeing is Mitt and Rick are LIARS. That's a major flaw for it shows they have no proven successes to run on. And the world saw your lack of attacking Mitt on anything but covering his butt. We saw your flaws, also. Political hungry for the sake of America is one. Attacking Perry while lying about 'some woman' you never could produce. Perry the Patriot.
If Mitt has such a vonerful management style, why is his campaign in the pits, after pluggin’ at it for 6 years with scads of cash to boot?
Ronny and Willard really should get a room.
In case of a brokered convention, we need:
1. Someone who is 100% Natural Born Citizen and Qualified Constitutionally for President
2. We know can win the South
3. Despised by the Northeast
4. Has gone up against the Chicago Machine and Beaten it when it matters
5. Solid Conservative (Social/Fiscal/Foreign Policy)
6. Motivational Speaker, Respected by Many
7. Always takes Responsibility for their actions, whether good or bad
8. Knows what it’s like (currently) to battle the “Establishment” that wants to force him out
9. Knows how to come from behind/Proven winner
10. Never gives up
11. Makes everyone around him better (Good for House/Senate down the line votes)
Who is this person?
Duh, Peyton Manning
And just so we have someone there to help Peyton know what he’s doing, David Petraeus.
Manning/Petraeus 2012
(Okay, just kidding, it’s late. Time for bed. Needed a laugh before going to sleep.)
See, there’s a winning ticket — Romney/Paul 2012. /s
thanks mnehring.
I dig it. But let’s sub in a real winner...Eli.
At least the Boston media will hate him ;)
Don’t that purty?
Loving the keywords!
I hate to keep saying this but it is the truth, a brokered convention will not bring anyone new or outside to the table. The people who will be doing the brokering will be the party and precinct leadership and the delegates already loyal to one candidate or another. There will be no one brokering on behalf of any ‘outsider’ beyond maybe a handful. The result of a brokered convention will most likely be the most establishment friendly candidate.
Wishing for a Palin, Manning, West or whoever is about as likely as a unicorn pooping ice cream cones and just distracts us from the real battle in front of us.
Ron is getting a bit old to be swooning over Mittens.
