She has been there for four days, and updates from my brother are very encouraging. The first day was a little rough, since her almost non-existent short term memory short-circuited any recall of conversations about the need to do this. However, since then she seems to have settled in pretty well. Has a roommate that she gets along with, and that helps a lot.
Her only complaint has been that it is too hot! I thought to myself, "Well Mom, it could be worse. You could be stuck at onyx's house with her new 72 degree heat system." (Just kidding sweetest.)
Anyway, I just wanted to thank all of you who lifted prayers up, and to let you know I don't have better friends anywhere on earth. God bless us all.
Oh Deo! I’m so glad that it’s been easier than expected. We’ll keep praying.
It’s great that your Dear Mom has the care that she needs right now. It’s been my experience watching my Dad while he was in that type of care that his being around others of his generation with the same experiences really picked up his spirits. Being able to talk with others of his generation and all. It is the right thing to do. And she gets the medical expertise at the care facility too.
