The literal meaning Ecclesiasties Greek translation, “Member of the Assembly,” approaches “Preacher,” using the root ekklesia for “assembly,” or “church,” to maintain similarity with Qoheleth. In English, the book is commonly referred to simply as Ecclesiastes.

The name Ecclesiasties is also the standard English bible name for the book. The text quoted is an accurate translation of the Hebrew. Similar thoughts can be found in the Psalms, Malachi, and in Paul's epistles and other passages in the Bible.

Marriage is God's institution, the Bible repeatedly testifies that He judges and will judge those individuals and nations who corrupt it, both in time and eternity. He is the judge of all judges – by Him who is Lord of lords and King of kings.
