Of course, Newt also talks (quite seriously) about colonizing the moon. Sometimes I get the impression the Republican field is the cast of Cheers, and he’s Cliff Clavin.
Some nation, or alliance of nations, is going to colonize the moon. I'd kinda like it if was the same nation that put the first man on the moon.
Imagine a country that can again dream of greatness. Children thinking of what is possible not occupied with the ravages of failure.
One mans dream can become the reality for others.
I was brought up in the 50’s. Life was an adventure, impossible things were seen as possible. Almost everything you touch today, came from the dreams of children that grew up and made them real.
We can not go back in time, but we can bring some of the good stuff back and hand it off to our children and grandchildren.
I will not damn a man that dreams of possibilities. Someday there will be a cure for Alzheimer’s and cancer, but only if our children are encouraged to dream and reach beyond.
