Back in September 2011, about 2 weeks after 9/11, my wife were returning home (to Palm Springs,CA).
We were in Indianapolis that sad AM when we received the news of planes crashing into the twin towers.
By this time we knew more about who were involved in the bombing. We stopped to gas up near Stockton,TX, when I gave the man inside my Visa card, and I gave him a tract of John3:16 in multiple languages.
He came outside and asked me what: “What do you know about Islam?”
I answered,”Not very much, I guess.” then I added: “I know Mumhammad was a desendant of Abraham through Ishmael, and he was a great prophet.(He agreed) but Jesus Christ was a descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
And Jesus was also a great Prophet, and a Saviour, a redeemer, and died for the sins of the world, and rose again and is in heaven ever living to make intercession for us.”
He seemed to be dumfounded, and seemed to be thinking: “I never thought of that.”[Neither had I previously]
Just how foolish can we become; when we were raised in a nation that we have access to the Biblical knowledge: “Unto you is born this day a Saviour......” (Luke 2:10-11) “For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.” (John 3:17)
