‘You don’t even know what are you talking about’.

Oh, I do. I am British, the nephew of a British soldier who served in Palestine 1945-47, and I am a history graduate who has studied that period. Elutheria5 and I regularly argue on FR about this period.

You said the Jews were held in concentration camps they had just left. As I pointed out that was not true. You are correct that the Jewish refugees were held in Cyprus and as I said also Italy. Some were held back in Austria and Germany. To suggest the British put them back in the type of murder camp is a very crude accusation and frankly shameful.

Just remember who fought Nazism from the start of ww2. Just remember the 300000 men and women from the UK and Ireland who died so your relatives could live and be free. Just remember the British set up a Jewish Brigade to fight, not the US or France or Canada. Instead of attacking Britain, frankly a little thanks might be nice.

I notice you ignored my substantial reference to the two Jewish/Zionist terrorist gangs. Elutheria5 sees them as heroes. Needless to say, I see them as terrorists and no different to the IRA.

I would actually like to discuss this without you and I calling each other insulting names. Is that possible?.

They didn’t die for Jews. Just another lie.

The San Remo Conference decided on April 24, 1920 to assign the Mandate for Palestine under the League of Nations to Britain: “The Mandatory shall be responsible for placing the country under such political, administrative and economic conditions as will secure the establishment of the Jewish national home”.

http://wwi.lib.byu.edu/index.php/San_Remo_Convention

If the freaking Brits kept their promise given in 1920, hundreds of thousands, if not MILLIONS Jews could had escaped the nazi extermination, by leaving Europe for Israel.

But , hey, when did the Brits respect their signature? As soon as they landed there, started coddling with Arabs, carved 3/4 of the Mandate territory to give it to an Arab Hashemite “princelet” as booty - TransJordan, and named him “king”. Not only that but the British adm. had forbidden the Jews to live on the Eastern side of the river Jourdain.

It was thus that the British Empire implemented the nazi dream of “Judenrein” (a land without Jews), before Hitler.

To make the things worse, they reduced the Jewish immigration to a trickle, but never the Arabs’ immigration from Lebanon, Syria, Egypt (among whom a certain Egyptian citizen named ... Arafat). During World War II, many Jews were fleeing Germany and its occupied territories, many attempting to enter the British Mandate of Palestine, despite tight restrictions on Jewish immigration established by the British in 1939. Many of these would-be immigrants were caught and rounded up into detention camps.

More than that, when the Jews revolted against the Arabs’ pogroms and the British complacent attitude towards it, the British military hang dozens of Jewish patriots. From that point in history , the open war between the British and Jews carried on, until May 1948, when Albion left forever.

There is no love left between Israel and Great Britain, and anybody can understand why.

So don’t tell me that Israel has to take into account what the UK tells it to do or not to do. UK was never Israel’s ally or friend. Never. The best they could do was to allow two British Muslims to go to Israel and blow themselves up, making dozens of casualties ...

From 1923, Britain conspired to prevent a Jewish state. It restricted Jewish immigration, with Arabist officers fomenting and aiding Islamic Jihad and nationalist revolts as an excuse to curtail Jewish migration and increase Arab migration.
