John McCain Concerned About "Negative" Tone in GOP Race

Arizona Senator John McCain, the man who lost to Barack Obama after trying to pull the "my friends" card on both his opponent and the media, is expressing concern about the negative tone of the GOP primary race.

Former Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) said Sunday he’s worried the negative tone in the GOP campaigns could help President Obama win a second term in the White House.

“I think there's reason to be concerned about it,” said McCain on ABC’s This Week.

"I've been in very tough campaigns. I don't think I've seen one that was as personal and as characterized by so many attacks as these are.”

Reality check: McCain wasn't tough against Obama, hence the reason he lost. Romney would be smart not to take McCain's advice on this issue.

In other news, McCain is also worried that too much thrust might endanger NASA rockets; that too much bouyancy might enganger Navy ships; that too much reading might harm children's ability to learn; and finally, that too much common sense might utterly, completely destroy the election process.

In other words, Senator Inane is upset there is a GOP primary and his buddy Milt wasn’t simply annointed from the start.

If McPain is worried about negativity, he ought to start cleaning up in his own house. He ought to quit paying for his hefty daughter’s - oops, I mean, he ought to quit paying the hefty fees on his daughter’s phone/twitter account.

Yeah, I was thinking he had a lot of nerve criticizing anybody for a “negative tone” after this:

“Sen.John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Monday refused to apologize for calling Tea Party lawmakers “hobbits” in a speech last month.

“I am sorry if it was misunderstood. I am not sorry for what I said,” McCain said at a town hall meeting in Gilbert, Ariz.

“Why should I when it’s the facts?” McCain said when asked to apologize, according to a video posted by Arizona’s local 3TV News.

At the end of July, during the debt-limit debate, McCain criticized some members of the Republican Party for not supporting House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) deficit plan by making a “Lord of the Rings” reference on the floor of the Senate.

At the time, McCain eviscerated some members of Congress as “foolish” and “deceiving” for believing that refusing to raise the debt ceiling would give Democrats no choice but to pass a balanced-budget amendment. McCain described that scenario as a fantasy, saying then “the Tea Party hobbits could return to Middle-earth having defeated Mordor.”

To our exalted Senators, we in flyover country are a bunch of hobbits who should stay in the shire.

Hey McCain (Rino, Loser) - “concern about negative tone” begins at home. Rein in your daughter first.

The thought of a Republican beating obama has McCain scared to death. If obama was replaced, he (McCain) would no longer be on Speed Dial from the White House. When obama needs something passed in the Senate, he bypasses Reid, knowing that McCain can pull out the RINO votes, like McConnel, Collins, Lugar, Cochran, Snowe, etc, by snapping his fingers.

Why should anyone listen to this aging loser for advice? His need for attention signals that he is now in his second childhood.

I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you’re not patriotic! We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration!

And now we know why Santorum backed ROmney in the last primary when it came down to Romney v McCain. So did I and I would do it again. McCain’s only goal in life is to be loved by George Stephanopolous.

He’s like a yap dog that will never shut up.

He’s made a career off a distorted college and military record. He had affairs on his wife and hooked into a wealthy one. Being a member of the Keating 5 should have been enough to make him go away.
