I agree with you; while the thought of him winning gets me down, I can’t believe it will even be close. He has ruled as one who doesn’t even intend to run for re-election (I’m actually surprised he IS running); I can’t believe he’d even carry Illinois. There is no way the media can deceive enough people if they simply ask themselves: Are you better off than four years ago?
The miserable job market and the unreported inflation (gas prices and groceries being the most obvious symptoms of this) should do him in.
You haven't factored in a couple vital things.
1. All the conservatives who have declared they aren't going to vote in November if they don't get their perfect candidate.
2. Voter fraud.
