This is an obvious error, no proper article would go out reading this way.
The book is out, and a lot of high ranking Seals aren’t happy about it. They say it is full of fabrications. I’m not buying this story. Time will tell if it is true. My guess is the writer got a few remarks out of someone and turned it into a book. This “email from a friend” smacks of viral marketing.

Pfarrer’s “book” is full of errors that are open source facts.
He’s trying to cash in on the story by trotting out his so-called inside sources.
The basic facts are wrong, poor editing, he made the rounds of the talk shows last year and it’s time to ignore him.
It’s just bravo sierra wrapped in conjecture. He has no inside sources and the SEALS are correct in being PO’d about this book.
I agree. The story is based on the truth, but it's far too entertaining to be the complete truth. I recall the helicopter crashed because of aerodynamics caused by the walls of the compound.
Me thinks you need to check it out for yourself before you come to any conclusions. Don’t denigrate the message until you have PROOF!!!
The phrase “sawn-off M4 rifles” is eliciting grave doubts. Anyone close enough to the real story wouldn’t use the term any more than SEALs would use chopped guns. “Short barreled”, yes; “sawn off”, no - there is a difference.
