since they don't show it being reloaded, i take it the barrels come preloaded making it basically in practice a onetime use point defense weapon and also making a much heavier and more expensive reloading operation than the standard belt or magazine if and when the time comes
I assume they aren’t very tasty.

I think it is electrically powered, but it spins out the balls like a leaky centrifuge I think. From another article: “the DREAD is an electrically-powered centrifuge weapon, or centrifuge “gun.”
Pretty wild in any case. I wonder what the forces would be like for something spinning so fast, would it have a gyroscopic effect?
