Limbaugh tried to explain the unemployment rate. This weekend he needs to have a friend tell him that the BLS household survey depends upon the CPS and the "Current Population Survey (CPS) is a monthly survey of households conducted by the Bureau of Census for the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It provides a comprehensive body of data on the labor force, employment, unemployment, persons not in the labor force, hours of work, earnings, and other demographic and labor force characteristics."
Figures don't lie.
I hope that the friend knows that the survey does NOT have questions like "Are you marginally attached to . . . ?"
No. Instead things like that have to be derived. In fact, how the computer interprets answers to the survey can be modified by the GS employees of the Bureau of Census for the Bureau of Labor Statistics -- and of course the GS employees of Bureau of Census for the Bureau of Labor Statistics answer to the White House.
Liars figure.
So, I think that this month the unemployment rate went down because the demographics "changed." All of a sudden the Bureau of Census determined that there were a lot of old geezers in the 55-and-over category that had not been known before. So those old bastards (about 1.2 million new ones, I believe) have a low participation rate which means the lazy dolts ain't interested in working so a portion is not counted.
Or something like that. Interesting that this was the second largest demographics change ever -- second only the one in 2000 which of course was another Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) that was running for president with their recession occurring.
The funds raised in these FReepathons go to pay our current quarter expenses. But we're also going to try to replace some of our older servers and failing equipment this year so we're going to add a little extra to our FReepathon goals. John is estimating ten to fifteen thousand to do this and I'd like to get it all in place and working before the election cycle is fully heated up, so we'll try to bring in a little extra now, if we can, and the rest next quarter.

Rush also said that they aren’t counting the jobs right either. I am pretty sure that info is on rush’s Facebook page
