Bruce Springsteen wants to see the United States transformed into something closer to a Swedish-style welfare state, the rock legend said Thursday as he unveiled his latest studio album The Wrecking Ball to reporters.

more like Sweden? All white?
So, you like big glasses of orange juice? sarc/ :-)
Back in the days when the U.S. was a shining beacon of freedom and liberty most people in the world wanted their countries to be more like the U.S.
How times have changed.
Well Bruce I finally understand why you help to elect a President with a resume with so many holes in it that it can only be described as Swiss Cheese.
Swedish-style welfare state/
Got news Brucie, foodstamps don’t buy CDs.
Ouch! That’s gonna leave a mark!
Yeah. Very healthy. Especially with some Absolut mixed in sarc/
Btw. I saw Springsteen at a concert in Oslo a few years back. It was non stop propaganda show against Bush and pro-Obama between the songs.
I do like that Bruce is a talker, tells stories between songs etc, but....
That was just too much.
I shouted for him to shut up.
I doubt he heard me. lol.
b
I tell ya what Bruce.
You re-calculate what your income taxes would have been had you lived in Sweden for the past 20 years & cut a check to the U.S. Treasury for the difference between that & what you actually paid.
Do that, then I’ll take you seriously.
Otherwise STFU.
How appropriate. The welfare state is “the wrecking ball” destroying America.
Springsteen has stuff. I need stuff. I want his stuff. Hey, Obama, get it for me now!
It’s better than shouting “Freebird.”
Our country is already broke.
I heard somewhere that 20% of welfare recipients are getting more than 30K in benefits.
I’m all for taxing performers and Hollywood “progressives” at Swedish tax rates.
speaking of ABBA. The Swedish Tax Nazis want $13 Million from Bjorn even though he hasn’t lived there since 1984.
People do not get foodstamps they do get rather generous welfare checks.
Enough to buy CD’s for sure. :/
“The United States has become a place where entertainers and professional athletes are mistaken for people of importance.
Ain’t that the truth
Hey, Bruce, you’re not The Boss of me, ya dweeb.
Good comment.
Btw. Little Steven from the E-Street band, aka Silvio Dante from the Sopranoes is having a runaway success in Norway at the moment with a tv show that lampoons the scandinavian welfare state.
It is a Netflix exclusive in the US. Well worth checking out if you have Netflix.
All is not well in the Scandinavian “paradise”.
