Notice this:
"And this school, were told, lost points this year because too many children were bringing their lunches from home and they did not meet, according to this inspector, the USDA guidelines.
I'm betting on the following scenario:
The principal told the staff to crack down on the bag lunch situation. The staff did what the boss ordered. Now that it has gone viral no one wants to own up to the fact that it was an edict that was mindlessly passed down among the ranks. No one had the common sense to ignore it.
They're all guilty.
“And this school, were told, lost points this year because too many children were bringing their lunches from home...”
Lost points, hmmm. Makes one wonder what those points represent in dollars.
All of us who have worked in either government or large businesses know the “CODE.” It pertains to your mandatory actions upon ANY incident or investigation.
When something happens like this, don’t volunteer any information. Don’t speak until spoken to. If possible, leave the room to evade questioning. And...the most important rule is that if you disclose anything, your job or future will be in jeopardy if you violate any of these rules.
While the “worker bees” are actively securing these rules, management is busy “getting their stories straight” in order to make anyone on a lower rung of the ladder to be absolute liars and fools if they squeal and the investigation starts to climb the chain of command.
Been there, done that.
IOW's "stuff" flows downhill? This 4yo girl is way ahead of the curve. Normally you don't learn that until boot camp.
