Gingrich: I could lose Georgia

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Wrapping up a four-day fundraising swing through California, Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich shifted his focus to the state he once represented in Congress but said he's unsure he can win the Georgia primary.

"Look, given this kind of a year, who knows?" Gingrich told reporters outside of a Beverly Hills restaurant when asked if he could lose his home state in the "Super Tuesday" sweepstakes on March 6. "Romney could lose Michigan. Santorum could lose Pennsylvania. Who knows what's going to happen?"

The former House speaker and 10-term congressman from Georgia was dealt a setback today when CNN cancelled the one debate scheduled in the state before the primary. The debate was scrapped after the three other presidential candidates - former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, and Rep. Ron Paul of Texas - all announced they would not attend. Gingrich, who has benefitted from strong debate performances, took a swipe at two of his rivals for backing out.

"I think what you've got right now is for very different reasons, Romney wants to hide behind negative ads," he said. "And I think that if he doesn't want to (debate), Santorum doesn't want to do it because Santorum thinks he's in the hunt with Romney. And that's fine. There are lots of different ways to communicate to the American people."

Gingrich on Thursday wrapped up a fundraising blitz that included eight fundraisers in the Golden State. Eric Beach, one of the campaign's national finance chairs, said Gingrich was able to raise $2 million in California, though he could not say how much of that was pledged this week. "We've been raising money. We've had a pretty good week so far, "Gingrich told reporters following a forum with Asian-Americans at the Korea Times Thursday morning.

Gingrich is set to return to a schedule heavier on campaign events, with upcoming stops planned in Oklahoma, Arizona and Michigan.

[It’s time for Newt to go.]

Yup, time to go nuclear on Mitt and Rick, two real weasels.

Deception is all part of the Alinsky methods and the Mormon way. If you haven't read RULES FOR RADICALS and CAN MITT ROMNEY SERVE TWO MASTERS?, order them today. They are very small books.
Being able to discern deception from truth will be the only thing that saves America as we know her.

Santorum’s support will go to Romney as second choice.

Newt’s support would go to Santorum as second choice.

Absolutely not. Just because the establishment boys are making it difficult, it’s not enough to discard our only chance for recovery.

Go Newt!

I think it's fear and collusion against Newt.

Little Rick, sweater and all, will be Mittens VP choice if things go their way.

Well it is disgusting enough to watch the liberals spew deception, but when the 'right' takes up the practice they will never win. Unfortunately, the PROUD -GOP- and its TARP tent pegs of capital-ISM do not seem to be above the art of the practice of deception.

Have you seen the photos of Mitt Romney's dad meeting with old Saul Alinsky? Well a very popular radio show call screen-er refused a caller's call to ask this very popular radio show host about these pictures.... 'you know' given how much this radio show host mentions Alinsky's Rules... The screen-er rebuffed the caller by saying why should some one be held to account for who their father met with and how could it be verified the photos were real....

Funny thing though, the Abrams LIE about Newt was read as if 'gospel' without first verification if in fact Abrams was telling the truth. I know first hand liberals LIE, but apparently shading or coloring the truth is not considered lying in some republican circles. I am not even going to give them the benefit of calling them conservatives.

“Anyone can vote in the primary in MI and DU and others have been pushing folks to vote for Santorum.”

Am only trying to help you and allow you to not make a total ass of yourself any further in public.

It has nothing to do with Romney.

No, you must understand a few basic things about Michigan law:

You must be registered a month out with the MI SOS.

The primaries are now closed per new Michigan legislation.

You must declare party preference if you are registered to get a ballot.

You must show PICTURE ID to vote.

Those votes are now public, published.

You can tout what ever you want but if you misinterpet the law here am going to call you on it.

Perhaps you should be reporting on how Santorum didn’t make the ballot in Indiana.

Guess his own polling shows the drop there is taking him to a third position the same as everywhere else.

Just report what was reported on another thread. Obviouly it was not up to date. My sister who lives in Michigan will appreciate the fact that their laws have been changed also. Guess she missed it on the local news.Thank you for your correction. It’s a shame your mama didn’t teach you to be a little more polite to your elders. Your language is not appropriate and it will be reported.
Have already reported he didn’t make it on the Indiana ballot. Missed by thirty signatures from Indianapolis where signatures are abundant.....except those who signed there lived and registered to vote in other areas and therefore did not count on the tally.

Gee does the talking head have an email address. IIRC the picture is part of the national archive or was it the Congressional record.

Maybe sending the reference data information with the picture would have a bigger inpact. Along with the mention of announcers connection to Clear Channel who is owned by ________________.

What’s the difference between Media Matters and Clear Channel controlling their announcers? The American People get messed over.

Sending cc to every other talking head you know might get the message through.

Have some addresses sure other do to and would help with the project.
