Santorum also lost because he always talks like a CONservative, but behaves much differently. He cannot be relied upon to do what he says, or even have the intellect to analyze what needs to be done to correct it.

Newt is a genius in that regard. He is a true leader and has the ability to engineer a solution in situations that have never been tried before. It was Newt's plan of attack that worked so well in ‘94, the Contract With America and later Welfare Reform.

This is the kind of leader we can not afford to lose at this most critical time in our history. To throw all of that away over minor, decades old Social issues, is purely stupid and insane.

I still fear that this mindless, Lemming stampede to nominate the “Perfect CONservative” will end up in disaster. Just like it did in 2008. Only in this case, the Washington insider us posing as a (phony) social conservative and is being sold to the electorate as a savior.

Personally I agree with you, Santorum is a C level candidate at best, and has no chance in my mind of winning a general election. I do fear he gets the nod we are almost certain to have another 4 years of Barry.

I think Newt is the best in terms of actually winning, he will take on Obama directly, and can handle the press and liberal attack dogs and turn it back on them.

Romney and Santorum are milk toasts IMHO. Though Romney probably will fair far better in a general than Santorum, because he is “safe” I don’t like him, and think its crazy that the republican party is going to put up a pro abortion new england liberal as their nominee, but he’ll do a fine site better than Santorum in a general.

I believe Newt however is the best chance to win, not only can newt win, an Newt Win would be an IDEOLOGICAL WIN, not a try to avoid offending the most people win, or tit for tat sleeze attack win. Newt would make the election a true ideological decision to the electorate and when he wins would carry with it his agenda to the congress... it would be a full on repudiation of not only Obama, but progressivism in its entirety, and that is what we need.
