Rick Santorum explicitly stated he has no intention of restricting anyone’s free choice to buy contraceptives for themselves.

Which makes this a non issue, except inasmuch as people want to be dishonest and suggest he does intend to make it illegal.

You and I know that, but the MSM will have a field day with this.

At the rate the right is rushing to the left, Obama will be the conservative by November.

"One of the things I will talk about that no President has talked about before is I think the dangers of contraception in this country, the whole sexual libertine idea."

It doesn't matter whether Santorum thinks this is a private opinion or a potential policy issue.

As a presidential candidate he should never have thrown a democrat red meat issue like this on the table. Terrible unforced error. The enemy will use it the way they want to, which we have already seen, tarring the GOP for wanting to wage "war on women." Trust me this drumbeat will not let up until November, and santorum has handed them the drumsticks to beat him with.

I have opined elsewhere that Santorum's "glass jaw" is that he will be pushed into corners where he will either have to compromise and backtrack on principles he has espoused, or else sound like a crazed extremist lunatic. Either way he is toast.

This was not just a bad idea. It is evidence of impaired judgment, and why I have aired severe misgivings about this guy.

Santorum has said he wants, as president, to give each state the right to ban contraceptives if they see fit.
