Has any of that Kennedy magic dissipated over the years? One would think that any voter under the age of 35 could not care less about the mystique of the Kennedy name.
I don’t know if the “magic” has dissipated but the money has had to. Old Joe Kennedy may have had a few hundred millin but he has a few hundred descendents all of whom want part of the wealth. Even though its undoubtedly tied up in nontaxable trusts, the division of it has had to have had an impact. So what else to do? Take the proven money-making route of going into politics. It does wonders, money-wise, for people who cannot do anything else.
