Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine, apparently, is big into politics. When recently asked by Music Radar for his views on U.S. politics, Mustaine candidly stated that he hopes Rick Santorum takes over the White House after the 2012 election and gave his reasons.
“Looking at the Republican candidates, I’ve got to tell you, I was floored the other day to see that Mitt Romney’s five boys have a $100 million trust fund,” said the self-proclaimed Republican musician. “Where does a guy make that much money? So there [are] some questions there. And watching Newt Gingrich, I was pretty excited for a while, but now he’s just gone back to being that person that everybody said he was — that angry little man. I still like him, but I don’t think I’d vote for him

I listened to Metallica/Slayer/Cannibal Corpse/Mercyful Fate/GNR/Megadeth back in the day, and opposite the myth that I’m supposed to worship satan and worship the govt, I became a right-wing conservative. and yeah, I listened to Korn. Every band I stated, I saw them live each more than 3 times at least.

Well, this makes me feel a little better, after hearing Dave Grohl is playing at an Obama fundraiser.
A few days ago the left was going nuts because they believed a satirical story that said Santorum was declaring war on heavy metal.
Regardless of what people think, Peace Sells’ is not a liberal song but a mockery of liberalism.
Mustaine has also slammed the UN for being a farce and gigantic sponge.
First of all, I am not “you folks” and my analysis stands on its own.
Now, to your specific statement. It’s cool that a rocker supported him in theory - that’s true. The problem is, when you read the rocker’s reasons - Mitts too rich and Rick went to the hospital to see his sick daughter - it’s laughably sophomoric and childish,
Cool type person to endorse. Low double digit IQ analysis. And a sweater vest is still a geek tell.

Yeah I’m nearly 50 years old and I’m still a metal head. I’ve lost the hair because it starts looking kinda silly when it all turns grey.

I have hair down to the middle of my back, and I get called a hippie a lot too. My standard answer is, “I’m NOT a hippie! I bathe occasionally.”
