Harvard University Professor Alan Dershowitz is one of the most knowledgeable and unapologetic defenders of Israel among American academics. This has unfortunately opened him to unfair and intellectually dishonest attacks from his fellow liberals.
In answering a recent attack by Max Blumenthal, formerly of Media Matters for America (MMfA), Prof. Dershowitz said, “Let me tell you, Max Blumenthal and Media Matters will be singlehandedly responsible for (Obama) losing this election. They (the Democrats) cannot win the election and keep this affiliation with them.”
I agree with Prof. Dershowitz, though obviously I think there are many, many more reasons why President Obama should lose this election (trillions, if you consider his latest budget proposal).
Prof. Dershowitz is right to draw attention to MMfA in particular. As Big Journalism points out: “Media Matters has been condemned by the Simon Wiesenthal Center for their continued use of an antisemitic slur; their own allies have even thrown them under the bus for antisemitism.”
This just shows that Americans of all political stripes are awakened to the dangers of unethical journalists and media organizations that deceive their audiences and use bullying tactics to unfairly target political opponents.

How’s this for a KITA scenario: nobody has enough delegates to win the nomination when the convention convenes. Some idiot thinks it would be cool to have a THIRD Bush as president. The nominating speech is barely started when a low rumble starts. It continues to grow as the nominator struggles to have his words heard. Suddenly, the rumble explodes into a roar - SARAH, SARAH, SARAH - drowning out the nominator, who leaves the stage in disgust. Governor Palin appears on stage as the convention goes nuts. She gets the nomination by acclimation.
Then I awaken and say a prayer: “Dear God, please make it so.”

I think it would take two who are totally committed to our country to undo what has been done to it. As we know, they are the only two who have been viciously attacked by the GOP E and the MSM.

Way to go. She has a way of citing previously overlooked or ignored sources to make her point. Her ability to bringing to the fore..or distilling an issue is what sets her apart. We all have heard about Media Matters, but she calls them on specifics. Love it.
I have long-term friends who, every time her name is brought into conversation, say “Ick!” and call her “stupid” and a “quitter”. I point out that stupidity is an assertion for which they have no data, that every Republican presidential candidate after Dewey was called stupid, including the logistical genius who won the war in Europe, and that I too would quit any job which threatened to bankrupt my family. They quickly turn the conversation elsewhere.
Why corrupt a Palin thread?
Don’t expect this little group of paranoid totalitarians to go quietly.
We need to support Gingrich, Santorum and even Paul and keep them in the race until the convention. If this happens then nobody will have a majority and Sarah can be installed as the GOP candidate.

That Media Matters still has a tax exempt status is a scandal. David Brock is despicable.
They were just showing some excerpts from emails about Fox from Media Matters on Fox . . . seems they were two years old. Who has been sitting on them this long?
Dershowitz is a radical liberal in everything but his support of Israel. An object lesson about liberalism: do not stray from the full agenda, or you will be attacked and disowned.
