The former Marine wrote on his Facebook page that Child Protective Services officials came to his home in Stanly Co. on Saturday and interviewed him and his daughter separately after viewers of the video called with concerns about his actions.
He said the police also stopped by.
The police by the way said Kudos, sir, Jordan wrote. "I actually had a "thank you" from an entire detectives squad. And another police officer is using it in a positive manner in his presentation for the school system. Hows about those apples? Didnt expect THAT when you called the cops did you?

humiliating his dtr in front of millions over stupid silly teenage conversation Yeah, it was a "stupid silly teenage conversation" that she posted on her Facebook page. You didn't watch the video, did you?
He read her Facebook post including her publicly wishing to be around when her parents got too old to wipe their own a$$es. Who humiliated who publicly?

“99.999% of those “millions” have no clue who that kid is, so she’s not really humiliated.”
But the 0.001% who DO know who she is are her live, in-person friends.
Part of me thinks what dad did is funny; part thinks he’s a jerk. Mostly, I tend to think his daughter probably is a spoiled brat. (but who makes kids into brats?)
I tell kids I know in real life, be very, very careful what you post at Facebook. If not your parents, future employers can made a decision based on what you post. Better to be very reserved, save your kvetching/cursing/whatever for private, in-person meetings with friends.

If ya ever get called for jury duty, tell um you already made up your mind. Stamp guilty on the card, and send it back.

What they both did was immature. At least her behavior matches her age.
My experience is that when children know they are unconditionally loved and that their parents truly care about them, they are more than happy to pitch in as much as possible.

I highy doubt the parents are lazy! The stepmom is a veterinarian with her own clinic and according to her website is working 5:30am to 8:30pm with foaling and calving. Dad has a few irons in the fire, too. He owns several businesses, if I recall correctly. I wonder if they value money more than happiness. He's really upset over that $130 he spent on software.
He's not parenting his daughter. He's in a battle with with her, and so enraged his hands are shaking. . They may not be lazy as far as work goes, but they may be lazy parents.

Don't always work that way. That only happened in the back lot of television sets. Mayberry North Carolina was just off the 405 freeway...And that lake in the opening/closing credits? It's in North Hollywood, above Sunset Bl. Everything happened with a great ending....Great show it was!

daddy is indeed a jerk.....this will come back to bite him probably pretty quick.....humiliating his dtr in front of millions over stupid silly teenage conversation..
No daddy wasn't a jerk and he did not post it for millions to see. Go to his face book page (Tommy Jordan). He posted it for his daughters friends and their parents to see. But it went viral, big time. Nevertheless, everyone in the family learned a great deal from the experience. You should take a look at the man's facebook page. You really should.

My two best friends each have two daughters. One friend has two in graduate school and the other has two in high school. I’m very impressed with how they’ve turned out, and we live in a part of the country where it’s difficult to raise good children. I’ve seen how it’s done.
