News to Scythian, it's been a decade; it's already here. With only 24,000 deaths in ten years in a region with minimal medical care, it's hardly a major threat either.

Some are fascinated by mystery diseases and see them everywhere often experiencing them personally. Like those into the paranormal who seen have ghosts, UFOs, and had near death experiences, pretending (ahem) is evidence.
