NEW DELHI The wife of an Israeli diplomat in New Delhi and her driver were injured on Monday when the car they were traveling in was bombed, officials said. A second attempted bombing was defused outside the Israeli embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia, at about the same time.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu immediately blamed Iran, which has vowed revenge for the recent assassinations of several scientists involved in Irans nuclear program. Hezbollah, which receives funding and strong support from Iran, also had promised to avenge the assassination of one of its leaders, Imad Moughniyeh, who was killed in a car bombing in Damascus on Feb. 12, 2008.
Ticking off places where he said recent attacks on Jews and Israelis had been thwarted, including Azerbaijan and Thailand, Netanyahu accused Iran of orchestrating the attempts and called the government in Tehran the greatest exporter of terror in the world.
In all these cases, Netanyahu said, the elements behind the attacks were Iran and its proxy, Hezbollah.
Netanyahu offered no details of the attempts he cited, or specific evidence for his claim. But Israel had put its foreign missions on high alert in recent days, because of the anniversary of Moughniyehs death.
Both the New Delhi attack and the discovery of the bomb in Tbilisi happened around the same time Monday--3:20 p.m. in New Delhi, and 1:50 p.m. in Tiblisi (4:50 a.m. in Washington).
New Delhi police commissioner Brajesh Kumar Gupta said the wife of the diplomat was going to pick up her children at the American embassy school when a person on a motorcycle approached her vehicle and affixed a magnetic bomb to its rear side.

This is like sneaking up on the guy with his finger on the nuclear button and poking him in the ribs...
...one of these times, he’s going to flinch!
Attacking women & children seems to be the norm for the muchocrapinjeans of islam.
So very brave..
Very unlikely the Iranians were behind such a clumsy attack.
While they certainly have motive and opportunity, they wouldn’t have botched the attacks so badly and likely would have had many more targets.
Update:
Those attacked:
Tal Yehoshua (40), wife of Israeli Defence Attache
Indian driver Manoj Sharma (42)and in the following car: Arun Sharma (61) and Manjit Singh (75)
The Tblisi bomb had been duct taped to the bottom of the car.
The Delhi bomb was attached magnetically to the rear hatch.
Both bombs had no shrapnel and were essentially fire bombs made of potassium chlorate with sulphur, with sulphuric acid as the trigger.
Seems too simple and ineffective to be an Iranian or Talib or TET origin.
Corrections:
Tal Yehoshua-Koren
The Tblisi bomb was actually a grenade duct taped to the underside of the car. A string was tied off nearby and tied to the grenade pin.

It’s a mistake to believe just because the Mullahs are shrewd, malicious SOBs, they therefore can find talented contractors for their terror work in both India and Georgia, and coordinate the timing as well. Also, they were trying to imitate the tactic used against one of their scientists, the magnetic bomb on the car attached by a passing motorcyclist. It’s a great trick, but not every operative can ride a bike, and not every biker is an operative. It’s not like delivering pizza.
The only thing we know for certain is that we know nothing for certain. Some countries are experts at making things appear much different from reality and are experts at feeding the media stories that are fabricated propaganda.
If these countries wish to duke it out that’s fine, but don’t screw up my retirement account or raise the price of my fuel to $10 a gallon, or involve the US military, unless they are willing to accept the consequences of totally adverse US PR.
Americans only care about the USA not the ME.
Good points, jihadists have to take their friends wherever they can find them.
Many forget that India has more muslims than Pakistan and that the uncertainty of Jammu and Kashmir will continue to breed haters that are easy converts.
