Eventually American soldiers will be required to (a) possess the bullet fired at them, (b) match it with a specific gun and (c) prove the intent of the person shooting. It is only right and fair. Further, they will also have to defend their intent: was it legal...was it taunting...was it to help or hurt (and so forth).
I’m surprised Obama is getting Combat Pay.

It is one thing to be ignorant and a totaly differernt thing to act stupidly.
The truth will unencumber your mind.
My son, like Fran's, came back physically whole, but scarred emotionally after watching the vehicle in front of him get melted down by an ied. He went ahead to retrieve the bodies but against orders and was reprimanded. His vehicle was normally the lead, but was having mechanical issues so he went second that day. They then discovered a second unexploded ied. I suppose that wouldn't count!?!?!?.
This is an insult to all who lay their lives aside to serve and protect this great nation. Talk about disrespect, this is the ultimate dis of our brave warriors. I hope this does not come even close to being a reality!
Utterly stupid idea. I doubt anyone has ever tried this before. Now to get combat pay, soldiers will invite (fabricate?) incidents.
This administration just gets dumber and dumber.
What happens when our guys kill a bunch of ragheads before they can shoot back?
THIS IS A FU**IN’ OUTRAGE!!!!!!! Even soldiers who haven’t been fired on have done more to deserve whatever we pay them than the likes of Barack Obama. There are so many other places we can cut from. Obama never served in the military. Neither have I, but at least I appreciate the overwhelming sacrafice of those who have.
If troops serving in a war zone needs to be shot at before getting combat pay, then that POS 0bama needs to actually work in order to receive vacation time.
And, 15% of the 60,000 American dead were killed by accidents, illness, or friendly fire.
Someone should quiz Obama as to how much he would retrospectively pay those men.
